About

Portrait of Tony Robert

Tony Robert is a writer, composer and performer.

He began his career in the British military, serving for 12 years, including service with Commando forces and operational deployments during the Gulf War and the conflicts in Northern Ireland.

After leaving the military, he sold his house to fund his studies at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Los Angeles. After graduating, he returned to the UK and received a scholarship to train in musical theatre in London.

He went on to perform leading roles in We Will Rock You, Tommy, Beauty and the Beast and Elegies. He also performed in Madam Butterfly at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

His writing includes original screenplays, alongside music and lyrics for an Off-West End musical and an original musical for Royal Caribbean International aboard Icon of the Seas. He is currently writing a commissioned independent feature film, scheduled to shoot in 2027.

Tony performs his headline guest entertainment show, Green Beret to Cabaret, in cruise ship main theatres around the world. Written by Tony, the musical comedy show tells the story of his journey from Commando forces to musical theatre.

Alongside his creative work, Tony draws on his military experience as a technical military adviser and lead cast trainer for major film and television productions.
